In 1946 he worked with Charlie Barnet before moving on to Kenton and the West coast jazz scene. At the time, his father, Sir Keith, was a regional newspaper magnate based out of Melbourne and as a result, the family was quite well off.

Rupert was groomed by his father from an early age, and went off to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the famous Oxford University in England where he supported the Labour Party. At age 22, Rupert's father died, prompting his return from Oxford to take charge of his family business; becoming managing director of News Limited in 1953.

Rupert Murdoch and Ted Turner are long-standing rivals. In 1996 Murdoch launched the Fox News Channel to compete against Turner's CNN.

Murdoch's publications generally have conservative leanings, in comparison with other national newspapers. During the buildup to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, all 175 Murdoch-owned newspapers worldwide editorialized in favor of the war.

The name Sennenhund refers to people called Senn, which were herders in the Swiss Alps. Entlebuch is a municipality in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland. The breed is also known in English as the Entelbuch Mountain Dog, Entelbucher Cattle Dog, and similar combinations.
The Entlebucher Mountain Dog is a square, sturdy, medium-sized dog. It has small, triangular ears and rather small brown eyes. As with all large, active working dogs, this breed should be well socialized early in life with other dogs and people, and be provided with regular excercise and training. Temperament of individual dogs may vary, the Standard says that the breed is "Good-natured and devoted towards people familiar to him, slightly suspicious of strangers."

George Greenough was born to a wealthy family but despised its lifestyle and spent most of his time in the ocean. Greenough is widely known for creating the modern surfboard fin. He altered the older design from a wide based, high-area keel to a more powerful and efficient dolphin fin-like foil.
In the 1960's GeorgeGreenough's equipment was distinctly different from the longboard design of the day, and he rode short kneeboards under six feet tall and air mattresses regularly. He is credited as being the best mat rider ever, and still surfs the unique waveriding craft. His most famous board was a foamless fiberglass spoon shaped kneeboard he christened "Velo". George Greenough is also known as a genius level inventor and the master of fiberglass engineering, design, and construction, having used the material to build surfboards, camera housings, and boats, and custom lifesaving devices.

Gerry Lopez was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and grew up in East Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii. He was nationally recognized as the best tuberider in the world, and won the prestigious Pipeline Masters competition in 1972 and 1973. The Pipeline Masters, recognized as the most prestigious professional surfing contest in the world, has been named the Gerry Lopez Pipeline Masters for decades in recognition and respect of his deep and ongoing association with this legendary wave.
GerryLopez played a very important role in the industry of commercial surfboard manufacturing. Whilst in Hawaii, and together with other shapers, Lopez started the Lightning Bolt Surfboards brand. Lopez created the simple but eyecatching Lightning Bolt logo and every surfer in the 1970s wanted one. This brand was the first one to sponsor team riders with free boards, partially because many of the riders didn't have the money to buy them.
